Regulations on the admission rate of females to Public Security schools of Vietnam
Based on Article 3 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, the admission rate for females to Public Security schools is as follows:
The admission rate for new female recruits into People’s Public Security schools is:
- 10% for security, police, and fire prevention sectors;
- 15% for political science, engineering, logistics, and foreign languages sectors out of the total training targets of each field and each school; there is no limitation on the female preselection and registration rate into People’s Public Security schools.
Specific health standards for new admission to Public Security schools in Vietnam
Based on clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA, the specific health standards for new admission into Public Security schools are as follows:
- Have health type 1 (one), type 2 (two);
- Height from 1.64m to 1.95m for males, from 1.58m to 1.80m for females, except for specific cases where the height standard can be reduced according to clause 2, clause 3, Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA;
- Vision without glasses each eye must reach 09-10/10, total vision of both eyes must be 18/10 or higher.
If there are refractive errors: myopia or hyperopia, each eye must not exceed 03 (three) diopters; if astigmatism, then physiological astigmatism or each eye must be below 01 (one) diopter; check the eye vision through glasses minimum 09/10 for one eye, total vision of both eyes through glasses must be 19/10 or higher (must commit to ensuring vision standards according to regulations if recruited, applicable for new recruits, selected citizens into People’s Public Security, considered for professional service policies in People’s Public Security), except for cases stipulated in point b, clause 3, Article 4 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA;
- Meet the specific indicators as stipulated in Article 6 of Circular 62/2023/TT-BCA.
- Citizens applying to People’s Public Security schools who are non-commissioned officers serving in the People’s Public Security: Height standard applies to the height standard at the time of selection for service in the People’s Public Security;
- Citizens applying to People’s Public Security schools who are ethnic minorities:
+ Height from 1.62m to 1.95m for males, from 1.56m to 1.80m for females.
+ Citizens belonging to prioritized policy group 01 UT1 as per Appendix 2 of Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT: Height from 1.60m to 1.95m for males, 1.55m to 1.80m for females;
- Citizens applying to People’s Public Security schools who are Vietnamese citizens graduating from universities domestically or internationally: Citizens graduating in natural science, engineering, computer science, and information technology can apply the height standard from 1.62m to 1.95m for males, 1.56m to 1.80m for females;
- Citizens applying to secondary education level in high school are direct admission and selection subjects: Height from 1.55m for males, from 1.50m for females;
- Citizens having multiple priority categories will only benefit from the highest priority category.
