Article 6 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT stipulates as follows:

Regular Assessment

  1. Regular assessment is conducted through: Q&A, writing, presentations, practical work, experiments, and learning products.
  1. For each subject, each student is tested and assessed multiple times, selecting a number of tests and assessments appropriate to the teaching progress according to the educational plan of the professional group. The results are recorded in the student tracking and assessment book to be used in evaluating the subject learning results as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 9 of this Circular, as follows:

a) For subjects assessed by comments (excluding thematic clusters): 02 (two) times each semester.

b) For subjects assessed by a combination of comments and scores (excluding thematic clusters), select the number of regular assessment scores (abbreviated as DDGtx) each semester as follows:

- Subjects with 35 periods/academic year: 02 DDGtx.

- Subjects with more than 35 periods/academic year up to 70 periods/academic year: 03 DDGtx.

- Subjects with more than 70 periods/academic year: 04 DDGtx.

...

Furthermore, Article 7 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT stipulates periodic assessment as follows:

Periodic Assessment

  1. Periodic assessment (not applicable to thematic clusters), including mid-term and end-term assessments, is conducted through: tests (on paper or computer), practical work, learning projects.

- The duration for tests (on paper or computer) for subjects (excluding thematic clusters) with 70 periods/academic year or less is 45 minutes; for subjects (excluding thematic clusters) with more than 70 periods/academic year, it ranges from 60 minutes to 90 minutes; for specialized subjects, the maximum is 120 minutes.

- For tests (on paper or computer) evaluated by scores, the test paper is constructed based on a matrix, specifications of the test, meeting the required standards of the subject specified in the General Education Program.

- For tests (on paper or computer) evaluated by comments, practical work, learning projects, there must be guidelines and assessment criteria according to the required standards of the subject specified in the General Education Program before implementation.

...

Therefore, according to current regulations, student assessment is conducted regularly and periodically:

- Regular assessment is conducted through: Q&A, writing, presentations, practical work, experiments, and learning products with the following number of tests:

+ Subjects with 35 periods/academic year: 02 DDGtx.

+ Subjects with more than 35 periods/academic year up to 70 periods/academic year: 03 DDGtx.

+ Subjects with more than 70 periods/academic year: 04 DDGtx.

- Periodic assessment includes mid-term and end-term assessments conducted through: tests (on paper or computer), practical work, learning projects.

Thus, the quality survey test scores of students are not included in the student assessment system and are not used to calculate the average subject score.

The quality survey test is simply to assess the knowledge amount students have at specific school levels.
