Enrollment Confirmation:

- For candidates who have been admitted under the direct admission category, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their enrollment on the system (those who have confirmed their enrollment will not be allowed to continue registering for NVXT, except for cases permitted by the head of the training institution not to enroll). If undecided about enrollment, candidates can continue to register for NVXT on the system or the national public service portal like other candidates for the training institutions to consider admission, if admitted, candidates will confirm enrollment according to the general schedule;

- No later than 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete online enrollment confirmation for the first round on the system.

In Vietnam, can a candidate who does not confirm enrollment due to illness be admitted?

Based on clause 3, Article 21 of the University Admission Regulations, and the admission regulations for Preschool Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:

Notification of Admission Results and Enrollment Confirmation

1. Training institutions shall send an admission notice to admitted candidates, clearly stating the necessary procedures for the candidate upon enrollment and the method of enrollment for the candidate.

2. Candidates shall confirm their enrollment online on the system before enrolling at the training institution.

3. For candidates who do not confirm enrollment within the stipulated time:

a) If without a justifiable reason, the candidate is deemed to have declined the enrollment and the training institution has the right not to accept;

b) If due to illness, accident, with a medical certificate from a district-level hospital or higher, or due to natural disasters with confirmation from the district-level People's Committee or higher, the training institution shall consider and decide on accepting the candidate or deferring the admission result for enrollment later;

c) If due to mistakes or errors by the admission staff or the candidate, the training institution shall proactively cooperate with relevant individuals/ organizations, review evidence, and decide on accepting or deferring the admission result for enrollment later.

4. Candidates who have confirmed enrollment at one training institution shall not participate in admission elsewhere or in supplementary admission rounds, unless permitted by the training institution.

Thus, candidates who do not confirm enrollment within the stipulated time due to illness with certification from a district-level hospital or higher will be considered by the training institution for admission or deferring the admission result for later enrollment.

Based on Article 22 of the University Admission Regulations and the admission regulations for Preschool Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:

Organization of Supplementary Registration and Admission

1. Based on the admission quotas and the number of candidates who have confirmed enrollment in different fields and training programs, the admission council of the training institution shall review and decide on supplementary admissions. The training institution shall announce the supplementary admission plan, methods of admission, and forms of registration for supplementary admission; admission conditions for fields and training programs for each admission method but not lower than the conditions of previous admissions.

2. Candidates who have not been admitted or have been admitted but have not confirmed enrollment at any institution can register for supplementary admissions according to the plan and guidelines of the training institution.

3. At the conclusion of each admission round, the training institution shall announce on its website the admission scores (and additional conditions and criteria, if any) for fields and training programs according to admission methods; organize for candidates to check their individual admission results; send admission notices and enrollment guidelines to admitted candidates.

Thus, candidates who have been admitted but have not confirmed enrollment can register for supplementary admissions.
