What should successful candidates in Vietnam do after Electric Power University announces the 2024 admission scores?

After Electric Power University announces the 2024 admission scores, candidates can immediately check their admission results by comparing their exam scores and application options with the admission scores of the registered program and university.

At the same time, candidates need to monitor the list of admitted students.

Once the universities have announced the 2024 admission scores, candidates need to check the admission list to see if their name appears to know the official results.

After having the scores and seeing their name on the admission list, successful university candidates will confirm their enrollment based on Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024:

- For successful candidates eligible for direct admission, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their enrollment on the System (those who have confirmed their enrollment will not be allowed to continue registering for NVXT, except in cases where the head of CSĐT permits non-enrollment).

In cases where candidates have not yet decided on enrollment, they can continue to register for NVXT on the System or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates for CSĐT consideration. If successful, the candidates will confirm their enrollment according to the general schedule;

- No later than 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024, all successful candidates must complete online enrollment confirmation round 1 on the System.

Therefore, according to the above regulation, successful candidates will confirm enrollment in round 1 from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024, for those eligible for direct admission.

*Note: (those who have confirmed enrollment will not be allowed to continue registering for NVXT, except in cases where the head of CSĐT permits non-enrollment).

No later than 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024, all successful candidates must complete online enrollment confirmation round 1 on the System.

The System here means candidates should access the website link http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/ to fill in the information, including ID number, login code, verification code, and then press the login button.

The results will prioritize the candidates' first options.

When do universities in Vietnam conduct additional admissions?

Based on Article 22 of the Regulation on university admission and preschool education program admission issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations for admission confirmation when enrolling in universities in 2024 are as follows:

Organizing application and admission for additional rounds

1. Based on the enrollment quota and the number of candidates who have confirmed enrollment in the programs, the admissions council of the training institution considers and decides on the additional admissions. The training institutions announce the admission plan, admission methods, and registration form for additional rounds; admission conditions for the programs according to each admission method but not lower than the previous admission conditions.

2. Candidates who have not been admitted or who have been admitted but have not confirmed enrollment anywhere can register for additional admissions according to the plan and guidelines of the training institution.

3. At the end of each admission round, the training institution announces on its website the admission scores (and any additional conditions and criteria, if any) for the programs according to the admission methods; organize for candidates to check their individual admission results; send admission notices and instructions for successful candidates to enroll.

Based on the enrollment quota and the number of candidates who have confirmed enrollment in the programs, the admissions council of the training institution considers and decides on the additional admissions.

Training institutions announce the admission plan, admission methods, and registration forms for additional rounds; admission conditions for the programs according to each admission method but not lower than the previous admission conditions.

Therefore, universities will base on the enrollment quota and the number of candidates who have confirmed enrollment in the programs if there are still vacancies. The admissions council of the university will conduct additional admissions.

What are regulations on the official list of admitted students after the final application filtering to announce admission scores in Vietnam?

According to Section 3 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training provides technical support for universities in the application filtering process as follows:

- Admission information on the Admission Portal, statistics of candidates' options, high school graduation exam scores, high school academic results, ability and thinking test scores (if any), evidence of candidates' priority areas, and the admission software (training institutions must update the latest version of the admission software),... to help training institutions effectively conduct admissions;

However, training institutions need to note: The system for processing admission options only filters out candidates who have been admitted to lower options at other training institutions from the tentative admission list submitted by the training institution to the System. It does not function to adjust the quota or admission scores set by the training institution; the System does not select candidates on behalf of the training institutions;

- Training institutions receive all preference information of candidates after they register on the system.

Training institutions that conduct early admissions without using data on the System must take responsibility for the information to evaluate candidates' eligibility, priority areas, and must not impose cumbersome requirements, such as requesting household registration books or residence confirmation when processing administrative procedures (according to the regulations of the Government of Vietnam...);

- Training institutions must strictly comply with and uniformly implement the regulations on the admission list.

The official list of admitted students is the list of students processed by the admission preference system and returned to the training institution (based on the tentative admission list submitted by the training institution to the System) after the final preference processing on August 17, 2024.

Training institutions are strictly prohibited from adjusting this official admission list.
