Requirements for Lower Secondary Level
a) Language Competency
Be able to apply Vietnamese language knowledge along with personal experience and reasoning ability to understand texts; can read texts by type; understand both explicit and implicit content of the text.
Recognize and begin to analyze, evaluate the content and prominent features of the text's expression; can compare one text with another, relate to personal life experiences; thereby having their own views, thoughts, and feelings about life, enriching their spiritual life.
In grades 6 and 7: capable of writing narrative, descriptive, and expressive essays; beginning to write argumentative, explanatory, and practical texts. In grades 8 and 9: able to write complete narrative, argumentative, and explanatory essays, following proper steps and combining multiple expression methods.
