- Write an essay describing a lifestyle.
- Initially learn to compose poems in the lục bát form; write a paragraph expressing personal emotions after reading a lục bát poem.
- Initially learn to write an essay presenting opinions on a phenomenon of interest: spotlight the issue and the writer's thoughts, and provide reasoning and evidence to clarify their opinion.
- Initially learn to write an explanatory text recounting an event.
- Write a record-keeping document in proper format, providing all main contents about an incident or a meeting, discussion.
- Summarize the main content of some simple texts read using diagrams.

What are the duties of 6th-grade students in Vietnam?
Under Article 34 of the Charter of Lower Secondary Schools, Upper Secondary Schools, and Multi-level Schools Issued with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT, the duties of 6th-grade students are defined as follows:
- Learn and train according to curricula and education plans of their schools.
- Respect their parents, officials, teachers and staff of their schools, and those older than them; maintain solidarity and mutual support in learning and training; conform to the charter and rules of their schools; and abide by the law.
- Take exercises and maintain personal hygiene.
- Participate in group activities of their schools and classes, Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; help their families, join physical and social activities and environmental protection activities, and maintain traffic order and safety.
