On my study desk, there is a very special alarm clock. The clock is rectangular, with an outer shell of wood brown color. The numbers and days displayed on the clock's front rectangle are LED lights, making them very prominent and visible even in the dark. Behind the clock are three buttons to adjust the time display at the front. One button adjusts the hour, another the minute, and the last one is for setting the alarm. All three buttons are round, large like mint candies. Thanks to the alarm clock, I can check the time and also be woken up on time, so I really like it. I will keep and clean it regularly, so the clock remains as clean and beautiful as new. |
The Bicycle:
Last year, my mother bought me a bicycle. The bike is clad in a very beautiful light pink color. The seat is soft and very comfortable. The rim is very sturdy, with a pink bell on the left handle. The bell is very sensitive. Whenever I go to crowded places, I often press the bell to make a "Ding dong" sound. At the front of the bike is a basket for carrying items. My bike has many steel spokes in its two wheels, resembling two giant flowers. It has two seats, one at the front for the rider and one for a passenger. I cherish this bicycle because it is a memorable gift from my mother and because of its usefulness. I will take great care of it as well as cherish my mother's affection for me. |

Inside the bag, there are two large compartments and one small one. The bag helps me store books and study supplies. I consider the bag as a friend. I will take good care and cherish it carefully. |
The Study Desk:
My study desk is a birthday gift from my parents. The table is rectangular, made from hard plastic, and printed with Disney princesses that I love. On the right side of the desk are two drawers where I can neatly store my books and study materials. Thanks to this beautiful desk, I feel more enthusiastic and diligent whenever I study. The desk is like a dear friend to me. |
The Hat:
My grandfather gifted me a hat. The brim is wide like a lotus leaf. It is made of fabric, yellow in color, and printed with floral patterns. Beneath the hat is an adjustable strap. It helps me shield from rain and sun whenever I go to school. I really like this gift! |

What paragraphs will 3rd-grade students in Vietnam learn to write?
Under Section 5 of the General Education Program for Literature issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, 3rd-grade students are required to learn to write the following types of paragraphs:
- Write a paragraph recounting an event they have witnessed or participated in.
- Write a short paragraph describing an object.
- Write a short paragraph expressing feelings or emotions about people or scenes based on prompts.
- Write a short paragraph explaining why they like or dislike a character from a story they have read or heard.
- Write a short paragraph introducing themselves, mentioning important details such as their name, birth date, place of birth, hobbies, and dreams.
- Write a notice or short news report based on a template; fill in the information on some pre-printed forms; write a letter to a family member or friend (handwritten or email).
How many periodic assessment levels are there for 3rd-grade students in Vietnam?
Under point a, clause 1, Article 7 of the Primary School Student Assessment Regulations issued with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT, the regulations for periodic assessment are as follows:
Periodic assessment
1. Periodic assessment for academic contents of subjects and academic activities.
a) In the middle of the first semester, at the end of the first semester, in the middle of the second semester and at the end of a school year, subject specialist teachers rely on regular assessment, requirements to be achieved, specific display of capacities of each subject and academic activities to assess students in each subject and academic activity as follows:
- Good completion: excellently achieve academic requirements and regularly display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;
- Completion: achieve academic requirements and display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;
- Incompletion: fail to achieve any academic requirement or fail to display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;

Thus, 3rd-grade students will be periodically assessed at the following 3 levels:
- Good completion.
- Completion.
- Incompletion.
