What are the 05+ high-scoring sample descriptive essays on neighbors?
In life, neighborly relationships play an important role, not only in terms of proximity but also in mutual sharing and support.
5th-grade students can refer to the following high-scoring sample descriptive essays on neighbors:
Sample 1 As people often say, "Better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away," which is indeed true. Next to my house is a very approachable neighbor, someone I really cherish. This neighbor is over fifty years old this year; her name is Hoa. She has a slender figure with healthy brown skin and a lively smile. She has two daughters, both of whom got married and moved out three years ago, so now it's just her and her husband. Ms. Hoa has a kind and gentle face. Crow's feet have appeared at the corners of her eyes, and she has more wrinkles on her face. Ms. Hoa's hair is very long, smooth, and jet black, even though she is no longer young. She has white, straight teeth like kernels of corn and a bright smile always on her lips. I've heard my mother say that Ms. Hoa used to work as a worker in a textile factory, so her hands are now roughened, no longer as soft as before. Ms. Hoa is kind-hearted and extremely friendly. She is always open and harmonious with the people around her, which is why everyone in the neighborhood loves her. Every morning she wakes up early to exercise. Anytime someone in the community is troubled, she always offers support and encouragement, whether it's with a kilo of oranges or a dozen eggs, everyone knows it's her affection. Her garden is full of vegetables and fruits, and whenever it's harvest time, she brings a lot of them to my family. Additionally, she is very fond of my sisters and me, always bringing us delicious treats. Sometimes it's a piece of cake, other times an ice cream. I truly adore my neighbor. I only wish that she will always be healthy and happy in life. |
Sample 2 In my small neighborhood, there is a neighbor cherished by everyone, Mr. Nam. He is a middle-aged man, tall with graying hair. Though he has turned fifty, he is still very fit, with strong and robust hands because he works in the fields daily. Mr. Nam leads a very simple life. He dresses simply but always tidy and clean. Whenever he meets someone, he smiles warmly, his gentle face and kind eyes making the other person feel instantly friendly. He often helps the neighbors, from mowing the grass, fixing broken items to babysitting when the parents are busy. I remember once, my bicycle broke down, and I didn't know what to do, but Mr. Nam fixed it in a jiffy. His kindness and enthusiasm make me feel very grateful. Mr. Nam is not only a good neighbor but also a close friend in the neighborhood. Every morning, after returning from the market, he usually brings small gifts from the fields to families in the neighborhood, like fresh tomatoes or a few fresh eggs. He says, "It's not about what you give, but how you give it." Every time, everyone feels warm-hearted because of his care. To me, Mr. Nam is a model of kindness and simplicity, always living for the community and taking care of those around him. I am very proud to have him as my neighbor. |
Sample 3 Mr. Kien is our neighbor. I often meet him every afternoon when we jog around the park together. Mr. Kien is a math teacher at the high school in our commune. This year he is nearly 40 years old, but thanks to regular exercise, he still looks very youthful. He is not very tall, just about 1.6 meters, with a balanced, strong build. He has black, slightly curly hair that from afar looks like a ball of cotton. The special thing about Mr. Kien is his very kind and friendly face. He has a high, broad forehead, a sign of a very intelligent person. Every year he coaches the district's math team, and they always win prizes. His eyes are very bright, always looking at everyone with a caring, friendly gaze. I especially like his smile. Mr. Kien is very cheerful. He always greets everyone with a radiant smile, spreading lots of positive energy. Every time I meet him during our jogs, he always waves, smiles brightly, and calls my name. He always makes me feel loved and cherished. Besides jogging in the park, I often visit Mr. Kien's house on weekends. He would guide me through difficult math problems and listen to my thoughts and dreams. He even takes me to admire the flower trellis that he personally plants and tends. To me, Mr. Kien is not just a kind neighbor but also a wonderful confidant. I cherish him dearly and always feel cheerful and excited when I meet and talk with him. |
Sample 4 In my neighborhood, there is a neighbor whom I deeply cherish, Ms. Lan. She is a middle-aged woman, petite with a gentle face and always a smile on her lips. Her hair has turned gray over time, but her eyes are still vibrant, full of care and love. Ms. Lan is very gentle and kind-hearted. Whenever I face difficulties or need help, she is the first to come to my side, ready to assist without ever counting costs or hesitating. Once, when I was sick, she brought me a hot bowl of porridge and reminded me to take my medicine regularly. She also told me funny stories so I wouldn't feel sad while bedridden. Ms. Lan has a great love for gardening, and her garden is always beautifully colored with various fresh flowers. Every morning, I see her tending to her garden, trimming every branch and leaf. The flowers she grows are not only beautiful but also exude a sweet fragrance, bringing a newfound freshness to the neighborhood. She often shares gardening tips with those around, helping everyone have a lush, lively garden. Moreover, Ms. Lan is very friendly with everyone in the neighborhood. She always chats, sharing joys and sorrows with neighbors. During festivals or special occasions, she organizes meetings that create a joyful atmosphere and foster connections between everyone. To me, Ms. Lan is not only a good neighbor but also a trustworthy friend. She always imparts valuable lessons on love and sharing in life. |
Sample 5 Mr. Tu is a neighbor of my family. He is a teacher about to retire, currently teaching Math at the nearby middle school. This year, Mr. Tu is nearly fifty years old, but he looks as if he is just forty. He is not very tall, about 1.55 meters, and has a well-proportioned build. Mr. Tu's skin is rosy white, combined with an oval face and long, shiny black hair, making him as beautiful as the ladies often described in books. Mr. Tu pays great attention to his appearance, often dyeing his hair black so that no gray is visible. Whenever he goes to teach, he wears light makeup to enhance his beauty. With sharp eyebrows and clear eyes like the autumn water, he only needs a little lipstick and blush to look very pretty. His outfits are also very simple. At school, he usually wears ao dai with floral motifs. At home, he wears simple pajamas. I often visit Mr. Tu's house many times a week. He would help me with difficult math problems or take me to visit the lush green vegetable garden he tends himself. I enjoy most when he braids my hair and tells me how to care for my hair and hands to keep them beautiful. Mr. Tu is both a wonderful neighbor and a beloved teacher of mine. I always look up to him as a goal for developing and improving myself every day. |
