From the challenging early days, the Communist Party led our people to achieve the August Revolution in 1945, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, opening a new historical chapter for the nation – from slavery to sovereignty.
In the two sacred resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, the Communist Party led the entire nation in courageously fighting, achieving glorious victories, unifying the country on the historic April 30, 1975.

Under Clause 2, Article 10 of Regulation 124-QD/TW of 2023, the assessment criteria for Communist Party members who are teachers in Vietnam are:
- Criteria on political ideology; moral qualities, lifestyle; organizational discipline awareness; maintaining internal unity; compliance with organizational assignments; implementation of regulations on things party members must not do; responsibility, conduct, working style, and methods; anti-corruption, wastefulness, negativity efforts, signs of political, moral, and lifestyle degradation, “self-evolution,” “self-transformation”; the degree of commitment to self-improvement, training, and striving annually.
- Criteria on the results of performing duties assigned in the year (quantified by specific products); capacity, reputation; role-model responsibility, exemplarity of oneself and family relationships.
- Outcomes of addressing identified limitations, weaknesses, and flaws.
What are the procedures for assessing and grading the quality of Communist Party members who are teachers in Vietnam?
According to Clause 2, Article 11 of Regulation 124-QD/TW of 2023, the procedures for assessing and grading the quality of Communist Party members who are teachers proceed as follows:
- Step 1: Collective and individual self-assess and grade.
Based on grading criteria, each organization, collective, or individual analyzes quality and grades into one of four levels as stipulated in Article 12 of Regulation 124-QD/TW of 2023.
- Step 2: Verify and propose the grading level.
Based on the results of self-assessment and grading by collectives and individuals, and the opinions of related agencies, the organization and personnel advisory body verifies and proposes a quality grading level.
- Step 3: Competent authorities decide on the quality grading.
For collectives and individuals with assessment and grading results, if there are complaints, denunciations, signs of party discipline or state law violations, internal disunity, the superior party committee directly directs inspection, verification, appraisal, and reconsideration of assessment and grading results.
