Know how to imagine, visualize, and express literary qualities in writing and speaking.

Know how to expressively read literary texts; recount or summarize the main content of a story or poem; comment on the characters, events, and the writer's attitude and emotions in the text; recognize the time and place, some types of poetic rhymes, rhythms, beautiful and unique language and images, and the effects of rhetorical devices like personification and comparison.

Understand the meaning or lesson drawn from the text. Write narratives and descriptive essays that express emotions and the ability to imagine and visualize.
