What are grounds for additional admissions of Thai Nguyen University in Vietnam?

Based on Article 22 of the university admission regulations, and the preschool education college admission regulations issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations for admission confirmation when enrolling in the 2024 university admissions are as follows:

Organizing Registration and Admission for Additional Rounds

1. Based on the admission quotas and the number of candidates who have confirmed admission to the programs, the admissions council of the training institution shall consider and decide on the admission for additional rounds. The training institution shall announce the admission plan, admission methods, and forms of registration for additional rounds; admission conditions for programs by each admission method, which shall not be lower than the previous round’s admission conditions.

2. Candidates who have not been admitted or have been admitted but have not confirmed admission to any place may register for additional rounds according to the plan and guidance of the training institution.

3. At the end of each admission round, the training institution shall announce on the information website the admission scores (and any additional conditions or criteria if any) into the programs by admission methods; organize for candidates to search their individual admission results; send admission notices and instructions for admitted candidates to enroll.

Based on the admission quotas and the number of candidates who have confirmed admission to the programs, the admissions council of the training institution shall consider and decide on the admission for additional rounds.

The training institution shall announce the admission plan, admission methods, and forms of registration for additional rounds; admission conditions for programs by each admission method shall not be lower than the previous round’s admission conditions.

Thus, Thai Nguyen University bases its consideration for additional admissions rounds on the admission quotas and the number of candidates who have confirmed admission to the programs. If there are still quotas left, the admissions councils of the training institutions will consider and decide on the additional admission rounds.

What Are the Responsibilities of Candidates in the 2024 University Admissions Process in Vietnam?

Based on Article 23 of the university admission regulations, and the preschool education college admission regulations issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:

Responsibilities of Relevant Parties in the Admission Process

1. Responsibilities of Candidates

a) Thoroughly research the admission information of training institutions and do not register for programs or admission methods for which they do not meet the conditions;

b) Provide complete and accurate information for all registration materials, including personal information, regional and priority group information (if any), and registration aspirations; ensure the authenticity of all validation documents;

c) Agree to allow the training institution to which they are applying to use the necessary information and data for the admission process;

d) Complete the payment of admission fees before completing the registration process.

2. Responsibilities of High Schools and Other Assigned Units for Candidates under Their Management

a) Organize the review, check, supplement, and update personal information and high school academic records of candidates in the sector database;

b) Verify data, guide candidates to correctly fill in information, including regional and priority group details;

c) Support the registration of aspirations for candidates who do not have the means to register online;

d) Assist training institutions with independent admission plans in validating high school academic records for candidates.

3. Responsibilities of Training Institutions

a) Provide complete and accurately formatted data and ensure the authenticity of the admission information on the system as guided by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET);

b) Define (or agree with other training institutions) on the fee levels, methods of fee collection, and use of the admission service fees;

c) Provide full information, consult and guide candidates, preventing them from registering for programs or admission methods for which they do not meet the conditions;

d) Ensure an accurate, fair, and objective admission process; fulfill commitments as announced in the admission plan;

e) Verify information and validation documents when candidates enroll, ensuring all admitted candidates meet the admission conditions;

f) Address complaints, accusations, and denunciations related to the institution's admission work as per the law.

4. Responsibilities of the Unit Assigned to Manage and Operate the System

a) Manage the national admission database, ensuring synchronization with the sector database;

b) Build, maintain, and operate the Admission Information Portal to support candidates and training institutions in the admission process;

c) Connect the Ministry of Education and Training's Admission Information Portal with the National Public Service Portal.

Thus, the responsibilities of candidates in the 2024 university admissions process are as follows:

[1] Thoroughly research the admission information of training institutions and do not register for programs or admission methods for which they do not meet the conditions;

[2] Provide complete and accurate information for all registration materials, including personal information, regional and priority group information (if any), and registration aspirations; ensure the authenticity of all validation documents;
