Will Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine in Vietnam accept students who are admitted but do not confirm their enrollment?

Based on Article 21 of the University Admission Regulation, College Admission for Preschool Education Program, issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:

Notification of results and confirmation of enrollment

1. The educational institution sends the admission notice to admitted students, specifying the necessary procedures for students upon enrollment and the enrollment method of the students.

2. Students confirm their enrollment online on the system before enrolling at the educational institution.

3. For students who do not confirm enrollment within the specified time:

a) If there is no valid reason, it is considered that the student has declined the admission and the educational institution has the right not to accept them;

b) If due to illness or accident, with a certification from a district hospital or higher, or due to natural disasters with a certification from the district People's Committee or higher, the educational institution will consider accepting the student or reserving the admission result for the student to enroll later;

c) If due to errors or mistakes by the admission staff or the student themselves, the educational institution will actively cooperate with the affected individuals or organizations to review the evidence and decide whether to accept the student or preserve the admission result for the student to enroll later.

4. Students who have confirmed their enrollment at an educational institution are not allowed to participate in admission at other places or in additional admission rounds, except with the permission of the educational institution's head.

For students who do not confirm their enrollment within the specified time and have no valid reason, it is considered that they have declined the admission, and the educational institution has the right not to accept them.

Based on the above regulation, if a student is admitted to Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine but does not confirm their enrollment, the university has the right not to accept them.

Organization of registration and additional admission rounds

1. Based on the admission target and the number of students who have confirmed enrollment in the programs, the admission council of the educational institution reviews and decides the additional admission rounds. The educational institution announces the additional admission plans, methods, and registration forms; the admission conditions for the programs according to each method shall not be lower than the previous admission conditions.

2. Students who have not been admitted or admitted but have not confirmed enrollment anywhere can register for additional admissions according to the educational institution’s plan and guidance.

3. At the end of each admission round, the educational institution announces on its website the admission scores (and additional conditions, criteria if any) for the programs according to the admission methods; organizes for students to check their individual admission results; sends the admission notice and instructions for admitted students to enroll.

Students who have not been admitted or admitted but have not confirmed enrollment anywhere can register for additional admissions as per the plan and guidance of the educational institution.

Based on the above regulations, students who forget to confirm their enrollment after being admitted can register for additional admissions according to the plan and guidance of the educational institution.
