Red flag with golden stars fluttering in the sea breeze as proof of Vietnam's undeniable sovereignty.

Although I've never set foot on Truong Sa, the images of this archipelago are deeply imprinted in my mind. I hope that one day, I will have the chance to see the beauty here firsthand, to appreciate more deeply the sacred love for the nation's sea and islands.

Sample No. 2: Describing Co To Island

Last summer, I had the opportunity to travel with my family to Co To Island, a beautiful island in Quang Ninh province. This was the first time I set foot on an island offshore, a feeling of excitement and eagerness filled my heart.

From the ship afar, Co To appeared like a green gem standing out amidst the vast sea and sky. Upon landing on the island, I was immediately captivated by its pristine yet utterly charming beauty. The place that impressed me the most was the Co To lighthouse. Standing atop the lighthouse, I could gaze across the expansive sea, watching small boats bobbing on the vast ocean. The scene was both majestic and strangely peaceful.

The trip to Co To not only helped me discover the beauty of my homeland's islands and seas but also made me love and appreciate the beautiful nature of my country. I hope to have the chance to return to continue exploring this beautiful island.

Sample No. 3: Describing Ly Son Island

During a family trip, I had the opportunity to set foot on Ly Son Island, an island belonging to Quang Ngai province. Before, I only knew about Ly Son through stories of the brave Hoang Sa soldiers of the past, but when visiting, I truly felt the pristine and majestic beauty of this island.

From afar, Ly Son appears like a jewel floating in the sea. The sea water is so clear you can see the bottom. The dark volcanic rock beaches form a unique beauty that cannot be found elsewhere. White waves crash against the rocks, creating foam like sea flowers sparkling under the sunlight.

Going deeper into the island, I saw lush green garlic fields stretching. The locals here grow garlic on the sandy soil mixed with volcanic rock, producing small but pungent garlic famous nationwide. Moreover, I got to enjoy delicious fresh seafood caught by the island's fishermen.

One of the most impressive sites was the national flagpole on Mt. Thoi Loi. Standing atop the mountain, looking down at the vast sea, small boats bobbing on the waves. The red flag with a yellow star fluttering in the wind affirmed the sacred sovereignty of the Vietnamese nation.

The trip to Ly Son left me with many emotions. I not only got to admire the beauty of a special island but also learned more about the history, culture, and life of my islander compatriots. I hope one day I will have the opportunity to return and discover more interesting things about this island.

The homeland's islands and seas are always a sacred part of Vietnam. I have never been to the sea, but through documentary films, I have visualized the majestic beauty of the vast ocean.

Even if only through films, I am always proud of my homeland. I hope one day to see the sea with my own eyes, to feel the salty breeze, and to hear the waves lapping against my ears.

During the past summer break, I had a memorable trip to Con Dao, a beautiful island located off the coast of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. Previously, I had only known about Con Dao through books with stories about its notorious prison, but seeing it firsthand, I truly appreciated its pristine beauty and deep historical imprints.

From the plane, Con Dao appeared like a sparkling green gem amid the vast ocean. When the boat docked, I was amazed by the long beach with its crystal-clear water, reflecting the shimmering sunlight. Gentle waves lap against the smooth white sand, bringing a sense of peace and tranquility.

Con Dao not only boasts beautiful seas but also has a tremendously rich ecosystem. My family visited Con Dao National Park, home to vast stretches of evergreen forests, with many rare animals. I particularly loved visiting Dam Trau Beach – a pristine beach with colorful coral reefs and schools of spry small fish.

The most emotional stop for me was Con Dao Prison, which once held countless steadfast revolutionary soldiers. Walking into the cramped cells, listening to guides recounting the harsh years of the prisoners, I appreciated even more the indomitable spirit of our ancestors. Standing before the Hang Duong cemetery monument, I bowed my head in tribute to the heroes who sacrificed for national independence.

The trip to Con Dao brought me countless emotions. I not only enjoyed the exquisite natural beauty but also learned more about national history. I hope one day to return to this island to discover more interesting things.

Under Article 7 of the Regulations on Assessment of Primary School Students issued with Circular 27/2020/TT-BGDDT:

Periodic assessment

1. Periodic assessment for academic contents of subjects and academic activities.

a) In the middle of the first semester, at the end of the first semester, in the middle of the second semester and at the end of a school year, subject specialist teachers rely on regular assessment, requirements to be achieved, specific display of capacities of each subject and academic activities to assess students in each subject and academic activity as follows: 

- Good completion: excellently achieve academic requirements and regularly display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;

- Completion: achieve academic requirements and display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;

- Incompletion: fail to achieve any academic requirement or fail to display specific capacities of subjects or academic activities;

b) At the end of the first semester and at the end of a school year, organize periodic examination for compulsory subjects: Vietnamese literature, Mathematics, Foreign language 1, History and Geography, Computer and Technology;

For students in 4th grade or 5th grade, organize additional periodic examination for Vietnamese literature and Mathematics in between the first semester and the second semester.

c) Periodic exam questions must conform to requirements to be achieved and specific display of capacities of subjects and consist of questions and exercises designed in levels as follows:

- Level 1: Recognize, repeat or describe learned contents and adopt to deal with several familiar situations and issues in learning;

- Level 2: Connect and arrange learned contents to deal with similar issues;

- Level 3: Apply learned contents to deal with new issues or provide reasonable responses in learning and life.

Thus, the 5th-grade Vietnamese subject has 4 periodic assessments in the middle of the first semester, at the end of the first semester, in the middle of the second semester, and at the end of the school year. The periodic exam questions are designed according to the following 4 levels:
