Pursuant to Article 4 of the Law on Mobile Police 2022 of Vietnam, the principles of operation of mobile police are as follows:
- Under the absolute and direct leadership in all aspects of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the dominance of the President, the unity of state management of the Government and the direct direction, command and management of the Minister of Public Security.
- Comply with the Constitution, laws of Vietnam and international treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a contracting party.
- Relying on the People, promoting the strength of the People and being under the supervision of the People; protect the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of agencies, organizations and individuals in accordance with the provisions of law.
- Closely combine armed measures with other working measures of the People's Police forces in performing their assigned functions and tasks.

Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 21 of the Law on Mobile Police 2022 of Vietnam stipulates as follows:
Coordination of the performance of the duties of the Mobile Police
1. The principle of coordination is prescribed as follows:
a) The coordination must be on the basis of tasks and powers of agencies, organizations and functional forces in accordance with the provisions of law and decisions of competent authorities and in accordance with the actual situation;
b) Ensure the centralized and unified presiding and administration in the direction and command of the performance of tasks; keep confidential information on national defense and security and professional measures of agencies, organizations and functional forces in the process of coordination;
c) Ensure initiative, flexibility, specificity and efficiency, associated with the responsibilities of the head of the presiding and coordinating agency.
2. Contents of coordination are prescribed as follows:
a/ To protect national security, ensure social order and safety, fight against crime and law violations;
b/ Solving cases of mass gatherings of people causing disturbances in security, order, riots, terrorism, hostage-taking;
c) Patrol and control to ensure security and order; protection of important political, economic, diplomatic, scientific-technical, cultural and social events and objectives and protection of special cargo transportation;
d) Prevention, control and recovery of disasters, natural disasters and epidemics; search, rescue, rescue; building a people's movement to protect national security;
dd) Training, training and retraining;
e) Exchange of information and documents, development of legal documents, propagation, dissemination and legal education;
g) Carry out other relevant coordination activities.

Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 21 of the Law on Mobile Police 2022 of Vietnam, the command mechanism in coordinating the performance of the tasks of the Mobile Police is as follows:
- When solving complex security and order cases led by the commission, the local government shall assume the prime responsibility for strengthening the forces of the Mobile Police Command, the Mobile Police Command shall coordinate with local authorities to implement measures to solve the case and directly command the Mobile Police to perform their duties. according to the plan approved by the competent authority.
- When solving complex security and order cases presided over by the Ministry of Public Security, the Mobile Police Command shall assume the prime responsibility for coordinating with agencies, organizations and units to advise the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to implement measures to solve the case and directly command the Mobile Police to perform their tasks according to the plan. approved by the competent authority.
- When solving complex security and order cases presided over by the Mobile Police Command, the forces participating in the coordination are under the direct command of the Mobile Police Command according to the plan approved by the competent authority.
