Regulations on criteria for consideration and how to score awards for Vietnam Startup Innovation Program?
Pursuant to Article 4 of the Regulations issued together with Decision 01/QD-BTCGT in 2020, the criteria for consideration and scoring are as follows:
First: Criteria to consider program scores
- Object 1: Innovative start-up products with
+ Creativity (30 points),
+ Economic efficiency (40 points),
+ Social impact (30 points).
- Object 2: Innovative solutions have
+ Creativity (50 points),
+ Social impact (50 points).
- Object 3: Media works with
+ Depth of content (The content of the work is discoverable, directional, and summative) (40 points),
+ Creativity (30 points),
+ Social impact (30 points).
- Object 4: is considered through achievements in contributing to the innovative startup community.
Second: Scoring method
- The final score includes the score of the Organizing Committee and the vote of the community,
- The scoring of the Organizing Committee accounts for 80%, is scored on a 100-point scale as specified at Points a, b, c, d, Clause 1, Article 4 of the Rules,
- The community's voting score accounts for 20%, calculated: 20 * (number of votes of the participants) the highest number of votes.
Thus, the criteria for considering and scoring the award of the Vietnam Startup Innovation Program are specified as above.

What are the rules about the prize and the documents attached to the application for the award?
Pursuant to Articles 5 and 6 of the Regulations issued together with Decision 01/QD-BTCGT in 2020, regulations on prizes include:
Prizes include:
- Each group of subjects specified in Article 2 of these Rules will choose 03 equal prizes.
- Each award includes: Certificate of Recognition, Souvenir Cup of the Organizing Committee and prize money (from budget and sponsorship).
- The records in the target groups entering the Final Round of the Prize will receive the Certificate and Logo of the Award Organizing Committee.
The profile for the Award includes:
- Each prize participant submits 1 set of documents (in MS Word file and signed and stamped pdf file if it is an organization) including:
- Nomination form / nomination form to attend the Award (form 01),
- Introduction (according to form 02).
- The forms are posted on the website of the Prize www.doimoisangtao.vn/Giaithuong.
As such, the award and the documents attached to the application for the award are specified as above.
How is the awarding process for the Vietnam Startup Innovation Program done?
Pursuant to Article 7 of the Regulations promulgated together with Decision 01/QD-BTCGT in 2020 stipulating that the award consideration process is carried out as follows:
First: Receive applications to participate in the Award
- Dossiers of participation in the Award (candidate or nomination) are sent to the Award Organizing Committee via email address: giathuong@doimoisangtao.vn,
- Application period: from the date of announcement of the Award Rules to the end of August 31 every year.
Monday: Posting information
- Eligible documents will be continuously and publicly posted by the Organizing Committee on the website of the Prize.
Tuesday: Community vote
- The community voted for the participants on the website of the Award.
Voting time:
+ By the end of August 31 every year for all applications,
+ Until the end of September 30 every year for the applications to the Final Round of the Prize.
Wednesday: Organizing the selection
- On the basis of the community's voting results by the end of August 31 every year, the Organizing Committee considers and selects 10 profiles of the participants with the highest votes to enter the final round of the Prize and announced on the Awards website at the beginning of September each year.
Fifth: Confirmation of information In case of necessity, the Organizing Committee will verify the information of the profiles selected for the final round of the Prize to complete the documents and prepare for the award.
Friday: Scoring Prizes
- The Organizing Committee establishes professional councils to evaluate and score the applications according to the criteria for consideration and awarding of the Prize specified in Article 4 of the Regulations.
Saturday: Announcement and awarding of prizes
- The Award Organizing Committee will organize the announcement and awarding of the Awards at the Annual Vietnam Startup Innovation Program and Entrepreneurship Week. After awarding, the Organizing Committee will also proceed to announce the next year's Prize.
Thus, the consideration and award of the Vietnam Startup Innovation Program is carried out according to the above process.
