1. Principles and purposes of Vietnam Gas Association

Vietnam Gas Association (hereinafter abbreviated as Association) is a voluntary organization of organizations doing business in the field of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), gas products derived from petroleum (LNG, CNG, DME, ETBE...), services, trading in packaging, accessories, and techniques related to gas (hereinafter referred to as "gas") operating in the territory of Vietnam.

The Association is a social-professional organization with non-profit activities: representing gas trading companies; gathering, uniting, and cooperating to help and protect the legitimate interests of members; serving as a forum for exchanging information, proposing policies and management regulations; providing services to members equally; contributing to the healthy and sustainable development of Vietnam Gas market in the context of the country's comprehensive integration into the regional and international market economies.

2. Tasks of Vietnam Gas Association

- Contribute ideas and recommendations to state management agencies on policies related to GAS business activities
in order to promote the development of gas production and business, contributing to building a fair and healthy business environment.

- Support members through the following forms:

+ Propagate guidelines and policies of the Party and State on GAS business in Vietnam;

+ Collect and provide information on the GAS business market situation in Vietnam and some regions around the world;

+ Support and organize forums and seminars on GAS business.

- Represent members in building and cooperating with other Associations and Associations related to investment, production, business, and consumption of GAS at home and abroad in accordance with the law.

- Protect the legitimate rights and interests of members in commercial disputes and mediate conflicts and disputes between members in accordance with the Association's charter and the law; protect the legitimate interests of consumers.

- Implement international cooperation relations in accordance with the law;

- Propagate and promote the Association's activities, disseminating information, building the mouthpiece of the Association, the electronic information page, and publishing the Association's magazines in accordance with the law.

- Carry out service activities to ensure regular activities of the Association in accordance with the law and the Association's charter.

3. Rights of Vietnam Gas Association

- Propagate the Association's principles, purposes, and activities, mobilize the association's development.

- Represent  members in activities and internal and external relations related to the functions and tasks of the Association.

- Protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Association and its members.

- Coordinate activities among members for the common benefit of the Association; mediate disputes within the Association.

- Consult, criticize issues within the scope of activities of the Association at the proposal of organizations and individuals.

- Coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations to perform the Association's tasks.

- Give opinions on legal documents related to the Association's activities in accordance with the law; make recommendations to competent state agencies on issues related to the development of the Association and the fields of the Association's activities.

- Establish and dissolve affiliated organizations in accordance with law;

- Establish organizations with legal status under the Association: Depending on the actual conditions, the Association may establish a number of units operating in production, service, consulting...; set up companies under the Enterprise Law; establish funds to support the Association's activities in accordance with the provisions of the law.

- Receive legal funding from organizations and individuals at home and abroad in accordance with the law.

- Join non-governmental organizations in the gas field in Southeast Asia and other countries in the world according to the provisions of the law.

- Exercise other rights not prohibited by law.
