1. Tasks of Class III Secondary School Teachers in Vietnam

The Tasks of a Class III secondary school teacher include:

- Developing educational plans for assigned subjects and participating in the development of educational plans for specialized groups according to lower secondary education goals and programs;

- Teaching and educating students according to the educational programs and plans of the school and professional groups; managing students in educational activities organized by the school;

- Using teaching and educational methods in the direction of promoting students' abilities and qualities, and actively promoting student activities;

- Conducting activities to test and evaluate students' learning and training results according to regulations;

- Participating in detecting and fostering gifted students, tutoring weak students, or guiding students to practice pedagogy (if any);

- Organizing psychological counseling and career guidance activities for students and their parents in assigned classes;

- Coordinating with relevant organizations and individuals to carry out teaching, educational, psychological counseling, and career guidance activities for students;

- Participating in activities of professional groups; participating in scientific research; completing the system of records on the management of educational activities as prescribed; carrying out the work of universalizing lower secondary education and inclusive education within the scope of their assignment; participating in organizing competitions (of teachers or students) from school level upwards (if any);

- Completing training courses and refresher programs as prescribed; self-study, self-improvement of professional capacity;

- Performing other Tasks assigned by the principal.

2. Tasks of Class II Middle School Teachers in Vietnam

In addition to the Tasks of a Class III middle school teacher, a Class II middle school teacher must perform the following tasks:

- Working as a reporter or teaching illustrator in teacher training classes or teaching experiment with new models, methods, and technologies at school level or higher; preside over training contents and thematic activities in specialized groups or participate in e-learning materials development;

- Participate in guiding or evaluating scientific and technological research products at the university level or higher;

- Participating in social activities, serving the community; attracting the participation of organizations and individuals in organizing teaching and educating activities;

- Joining the external assessment team; or taking a professional examination for teachers at school level or higher;

- Participating in the judging panel, the topic committee, or the instructor in competitions (of teachers or students) at the school level or higher (if any).

3. Tasks of Class I Secondary School Teachers in Vietnam

In addition to the Tasks of a Class II middle school teacher, a Class I middle school teacher must perform the following tasks:

- Participate in the compilation, evaluation, or selection of textbooks, local educational materials, or other teaching materials and training materials for teachers;

Acting as a reporter, sharing experiences or teaching illustrations in training courses, fostering professional development for teachers from district level upwards, or participating in teaching on television;

- Leading the implementation and guiding colleagues to implement the innovation guidelines and contents of the industry;

- Participating in professional testing for teachers from the district level upwards; participating in evaluating or guiding scientific and technological research products at the district level or higher;

- Participating in the organizing committee, the judging panel, or the problem-solving committee in competitions (of teachers or students) at the district level or higher (if any).
