1. Standards for professional title of class II midwife in Vietnam

* Standards for training and retraining qualifications:

- Having graduated from a specialized level I or master's degree or higher in Midwifery.

- Having a certificate of training according to the standards of a midwifery professional title or a certificate of medical examination and treatment practice (used for midwifery titles).

* Standards of competence, professional competence, and profession:

- Understanding the viewpoints, guidelines, and lines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on the protection, care, and improvement of people's health;

- Proficiently performing basic and specialized skills in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology and neonatology;

- Understanding of principles in primary health care in reproductive health care;

- Understanding and applying skills; management and professional development capacity;

- Chairperson or secretary, or main participant (50% of the time or more) in scientific research projects at the grassroots level or higher or approved scientific initiatives/inventions/innovative technical innovations. ;

- Officials who take the exam or are considered for promotion from a class III midwife job title to a class II midwife profession title must have held a class III professional title or equivalent for at least 9 years. In the case of holding an equivalent professional title, at least 01 year (full 12 months) must have passed since the date of submitting the application for registration for examination or consideration for promotion;

- Having basic information technology skills and using foreign languages or ethnic minority languages for officials working in ethnic minority areas as required by the job position.

2. Standards for professional titles of class III midwife in Vietnam

* Standards for training and retraining qualifications:

- Graduated from University in Midwifery.

- Having a certificate of training according to the standards of midwifery professional title or a certificate of medical examination and treatment practice (used for midwifery titles).

* Standards of professional and professional competence:

- Understanding of the Party's viewpoints, guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on the protection, care, and improvement of people's health;

- Proficiently perform basic and specialized skills in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology and neonatology;

- Understanding the principles of primary health care in reproductive health care;

- Ability to communicate, present, and behave flexibly; teamwork skills; working independently;

- Having basic information technology skills and using foreign languages or ethnic minority languages for officials working in ethnic minority areas as required by the job position;

- Officials who compete for or consider promotion from a class IV midwife job title to a class III midwife job title must have held the full 3 years or more of a class IV midwifery professional title or equivalent. If you have held a similar professional title for a period of time, you must have held the title of class IV midwife for at least 1 year (full 12 months) by the end of the time limit for submitting your application for examination or consideration for promotion.

3. Standards for professional titles of class IV midwife in Vietnam

* Standards for training and retraining qualifications:

- Having graduated from Midwifery College.

- Having a certificate of training according to the standards of a midwifery professional title or a certificate of medical examination and treatment practice (used for midwifery titles).

* Standards of professional and professional competence:

- Understanding the viewpoints, guidelines, and lines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on the protection, care, and improvement of people's health;

- Proficiently performing basic skills in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology and neonatology;

- Understanding the principles of primary health care in reproductive health care;

- Ability to communicate and behave flexibly, teamwork skills, work independently.
