Vietnam: Pilot electronic visa issuance is applicable to citizens of 40 countries

This is a content mentioned in Decree No. 07/2017/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government prescribing processes and procedures for pilot issuance of electronic visa to foreigners entering Vietnam.

Issued together with Decree No. 07/2017/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government are:

- List of 40 countries of which citizens are eligible for pilot issuance of electronic visa (Appendix I);

- List of 28 border gates which allow foreigners to enter or exit by using electronic visas (Appendix II).

During the implementation of the pilot program for electronic visas for foreigners entering and exiting Vietnam, the aforementioned appendixes can be amended and supplemented according to the resolution of the Government.

Foreigners applying for electronic visas shall follow the steps below:

- Access the electronic visa webpage to fill in the electronic visa application form, upload the passport data page image and photo required in the Form No. 01 hereto appended.

- Receive the confirmation code and pay the visa fee to the account referred to in the electronic visa application webpage.
