Vietnam: Online citizen identification card issuance procedures to be launched

Below is featured content specified in Decision 406/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam approving the List of integrated online public services, provided on National Public Service Portal 2021.

According to Decision 406/QD-TTg, the list of online public services should soon be integrated into Vietnam National Public Service Portal in 2021, including procedures such as:

- Issuance, re-issuance, and renewal of citizen ID cards (completed in the second quarter of 2021);

- Confirmation of the ID number when the citizen ID card has been issued (completed in the second quarter of 2021);

- Permanent residence registration; temporary registration; temporary absence declaration; notice of stay (completed in the third quarter of 2021);

- Linking birth registration, registration, and issuance of health insurance cards for children under 6 years old (completed in the third quarter of 2021);

- Joint registration of death - Removal of permanent resident registration - Funeral allowance (to be completed in the third quarter of 2021);

- Issuance and renewal of diplomatic passports and official passports (without electronic chips) at domestic agencies (completed in the third quarter of 2021);

- Connecting and sharing information and data from Vietnam National Database on Population to simplify administrative procedures and citizenship documents and raise the service level from level 3 to level 4 for online services under industries and fields such as: social insurance; justice; diplomatic; finance...
