Vietnam: Implement electronic border guard procedures at border gates from June 01, 2019

Recently, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision No. 15/2019/QD-TTg on implementing electronic border guard procedures at border gates managed by the Ministry of National Defense.

According to Decision No. 15/2019/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister of Vietnam, electronic border guard procedures at land border gates will be implemented in 02 stages:

- Stage 1: Implement from June 01, 2019 to the end of 2019 at Mong Cai international border gates in Quang Ninh province, Huu Nghi in Lang Son province, Cau Treo in Ha Tinh province, Cha Lo in Quang Binh province, Moc Bai in Tay Ninh province.

- Stage 2: Implement from 2020 and following years, implement at all international border gates and main border gates on land borders.

The time to carry out electronic border guard procedures is 24/24 hours daily, including weekends and holidays.
