Vietnam: Cases in which the accounts used to update the national animal husbandry database will be locked

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam issued Circular No. 20/2019/TT-BNNPTNT prescribing update, use and management of the national animal husbandry database.

According to Circular No. 20/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, accounts used to update the national animal husbandry database (“update accounts”) shall be granted to the central government and local governments. The Department of Livestock Production shall grant and lock update accounts of individuals (officials and public employees) and bodies (administrative authorities).

In particular, according to Circular No. 20/2019/TT-BNNPTNT, an update account will be locked if:

- The body to which the account is granted dissolves, terminates its operation or undergoes a transfer process; or

- The individual to whom the account is granted transfers to another workplace, resigns or retires.
