Urgent: Temporary Suspension of All Operations of Contracted Vehicles and Tourist Vehicles with More Than 9 Seats

Here is the noteworthy content of Official Dispatch No. 2917/BGTVT-VT regarding the continued implementation of Directive No. 15/CT-TTg dated March 27, 2020 of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.

aimed at preventing the risk of infection from Hanoi City and Ho Chi Minh City to other localities, the Ministry of Transport requests agencies and units to implement the following specific contents:

- From 12:00 AM March 30, 2020, to the end of April 15, 2020, suspend all operations of contract vehicles with more than 9 seats, tourist vehicles with more than 9 seats having departure/arrival points in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and local passenger trains;- Fixed routes from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa: only transport a maximum of 02 trips/day for routes under 100km or 01 trip/day for other routes; not more than 50% of seats on the vehicle and not more than 20 people;- For the Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City railway route: only allowed to operate a maximum of 02 pairs of passenger trains/day;- No restrictions on operations for vehicles/trains that do not transport passengers.
