On October 27, 2022, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Circular 17/2022/TT-BCT amending Circular 32/2017/TT-BCT and Decree 113/2017/NĐ-CPproviding instructions on Law on Chemical.
On October 27, 2022, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Circular 17/2022/TT-BCT amending Circular 32/2017/TT-BCT and Decree 113/2017/ND-CP providing guidelines for the Law on Chemicals.
In which, the regulations on the duration of the licenses for restricted industrial chemical production/trades in Vietnam are added as follows:
- The new licenses for restricted industrial chemical production/trade is valid for 5 years from the date of issue in Vietnam.
For persistent organic chemicals (POPs), the term of the License is 5 years from the date of issue or equal to the time limit for registration of exemption specified in Decree 08/2022/ND-CP whichever comes first.
- The term of the license for re-issuance and adjustment is equal to the remaining term of the issued License for production and trading of chemicals restricted from production and business.
Vietnam's Circular 17/2022/TT-BCT takes effect from December 22, 2022. The reporting regime of organizations, individuals and the Department of Industry and Trade of Vietnam specified in Clause 6, Article 1 of Circular 17/2022/TT-BCT takes effect from December 22, 2023.
