This is one of the 13 primary indicators mentioned in Resolution 23/2016/QH14 regarding the socio-economic development plan for 2017.
The main targets to be achieved in 2017 include:
- Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth of approximately 6.7%;- Total export turnover increase of 6-7%;- Trade deficit ratio compared to total export turnover approximately 3.5%;- Average consumer price index increase of approximately 4%;- Total social development investment capital approximately 31.5% of GDP;- Energy consumption per unit of GDP to decrease by 1.5%;- Poverty rate by multidimensional poverty approach to decrease by 1-1.5%, with poor districts reducing by 4%;- Urban unemployment rate below 4%;- Training rate for the labor force to reach 55-57%;- Number of hospital beds per 10,000 people to reach 25.5 beds (excluding commune health station beds);- Health insurance participation rate to reach 82.2% of the population;- Industrial parks and export processing zones in operation with centralized wastewater treatment systems meeting environmental standards to reach 87%;- Forest coverage rate to reach 41.45%.
