Research and Development of 5G Mobile Networks to be Conducted Soon

This is one of the key tasks in Directive 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam on strengthening the ability to approach the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In this Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam requests that Ministries, sectors, and agencies focus on the implementation of the following tasks:

- Ministry of Information and Communications:- From 2018, ensure the provision of stable 4G mobile communication network services nationwide;- Develop policies to access, research, and develop 5G, meeting the requirements of the Internet of Things as soon as possible.- Ministry of Science and Technology: Focus on promoting the national startup ecosystem for innovative startups, significantly developing innovative startup enterprises;- Ministry of Education and Training: Pilot the education program on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) at some schools starting from the 2017 - 2018 academic year.
