On December 31, 2024, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam promulgated Circular 02/2024/TT-TANDTC which stipulates the organizational structure, functions, tasks, and powers of the units under the Supreme People's Court.
The units under the Supreme People's Court include:
- Office;
- Department of Planning and Finance;
- Department of Information Technology;
- Department of Supervision and Inspection of Criminal Matters (Department of Supervision and Inspection I);
- Department of Supervision and Inspection of Civil Matters (Department of Supervision and Inspection II);
- Department of Supervision and Inspection of Business, Commerce, Bankruptcy, Labor, Family, and Juvenile Matters (Department of Supervision and Inspection III);
- Department of Supervision and Inspection of Administrative Matters (Department of Supervision and Inspection IV);
- Department of Legal and Scientific Management;
- Department of Organization and Personnel;
- Department of International Cooperation;
- Department for Affairs in the South;
- Inspectorate of the Supreme People's Court;
- Judicial Academy;
- Justice Newspaper;
- People's Court Journal
Positions and titles within the units under the Supreme People's Court include:
- Offices, Departments, and equivalent of the Supreme People's Court have a Director or equivalent, Deputy Director or equivalent, Head of Division or equivalent, Deputy Head of Division or equivalent, People's Court Judges, Court Examiners, Court Clerks, other officials, and employees;
- Judicial Academy has a Director, Deputy Directors, Heads of Departments or equivalent, Deputy Heads of Departments or equivalent, public employees, and employees;
- Justice Newspaper, People's Court Journal have Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editors-in-Chief, Head of Division, Deputy Head of Division, reporters, editors, technicians, and employees.
More details can be found in Circular 02/2024/TT-TANDTC which is effective from January 1, 2025, except for point h and point i, clause 3, Article 3 which takes effect from the date the Department for Affairs in the South ceases operations in accordance with the law and the decision of the competent authority on the rearrangement and streamlining of the organizational apparatus.
