Recently, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam signed and promulgated Decision No. 1129/QD-TTg on approving the scheme for developing the night-time economy in Vietnam.
According to Decision 1129, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has approved the Scheme for developing the night-time economy in Vietnam and simultaneously introduced the Implementation Plan for the tasks of this Scheme with the following specific contents:
- In 2020-2021, the People's Committees of provinces/cities will take the lead in submitting the Scheme for developing the local night-time economy to the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam;
- In the second quarter of 2021, the Ministry of Finance will take the lead in submitting a Report on researching policies and tax incentive measures for night-time economic activities and policies and measures to raise funds for expenditures relating to the management of the night-time economy to the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam;
- Also in the second quarter of 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will take the lead in submitting a Report on researching and building appropriate trade and service policies to promote the development of the night-time economy in key provinces/cities, based on not violating Vietnam's international commitments, to the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam;
