New regulation of Vietnam on international cooperation in military medicine

This is a content of Circular No. 37/2023/TT-BQP dated June 13, 2023 on international cooperation in military medicine.

Forms of international cooperation in military medicine are as follows:

- Organizing military medical delegations for abroad work: Visiting and working with military and civil medical units of other countries and overseas international organizations; appointing specialists and trainees to attend short-term or long-term training.

- Receiving military and civil medical delegations of other countries and international organizations: Visiting and working with Vietnam's military medical units; inviting and receiving specialists and trainees attending short-term or long-term training.
 
- Organizing and attending international conferences and seminars in Vietnam; attending overseas international conferences and seminars.

- Signing documents on international cooperation in military medicine.

- Providing joint training, monitoring, and rehearsal.

- Exchanging and connecting with military medical units and military and civil medical hospitals of other countries and international organizations.

- Awarding and receiving medals, commemorative medals, and other rewards in kind.

- Providing and receiving health support and aid.  

- Exchanging contents of cooperation with military and civil medical units of other countries and international organizations via telephone and email or other forms as prescribed by laws.

- Providing humanitarian medical services together with military and civil medical units of other countries abroad; inviting military and civil medical units of other countries to participate in humanitarian medical services in Vietnam.

- Organizing training and appointing Vietnamese military medical units to participate in the peacekeeping operation of the United Nations.

- Providing medical services in Vietnam for foreigners under concluded agreements on cooperation.

- Implementing infirmaries combined with military and civil medicine.

- Cooperating, studying, manufacturing, and applying military medical products.

- Performing technological transfer and clinical experiments.

- Other forms of cooperation in military medicine as prescribed by laws.

Circular No. 37/2023/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam comes into force as of August 1, 2023.
