List of New Product Sector Codes according to Decision 43/2018/QD-TTg

The Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam has just promulgated Decision 43/2018/QD-TTg issuing the system of product sectors in Vietnam. This Decision replaces Decision 39/2010/QD-TTg effective from December 20, 2018.

The list of the Vietnam Product Classification System codes has been completely changed compared to the current regulations, specifically detailing the industry codes more thoroughly and changing the product codes.

For example, agricultural, forestry, and fishery products have a code for dry paddy. According to the new regulations, this dry paddy category is divided into two types, each with a different code: the type used for seeds (code 0111001) and other types of paddy (code 0111009).

Based on this classification system, organizations, individuals, and competent authorities must correctly register the new industry codes according to the new Decision issued by the Prime Minister.

Additionally, Circular 19/2010/TT-BKH concerning the Vietnam Product Classification System is invalidated as of the effective date of Decision 43/2018/QD-TTg.
