Issuance of the Plan for Implementing the Development Strategy of the Vietnamese Coal Industry until 2030, with a Vision to 2045

In accordance with Decision 55/QD-TTg dated January 16, 2024, approving the Development Strategy of the Vietnamese Coal Industry until 2030 with a vision to 2045, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued the Plan for Implementing the Development Strategy of the Coal Industry, specifying some key contents as follows:

* Objectives:

- Develop and implement tasks and solutions to carry out the Development Strategy of the coal industry in accordance with the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

- Serve as a basis for units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade to review, develop, and adjust plans and action programs to implement the Development Strategy of the coal industry in line with the assigned functions and tasks.

- Serve as a basis for organizing inspections, monitoring, summarizing, evaluating the implementation of the Development Strategy of the coal industry, and reporting the results of implementation and adjustments of the Strategy's objectives to the Prime Minister (if any) to align with the actual situation in each phase.

* General tasks:

- Fully comprehend and deeply grasp the viewpoints and objectives of the Development Strategy of the coal industry:

+ Take the lead and coordinate with ministries, central authorities, localities, and relevant units in disseminating and popularizing the content of the Development Strategy of the coal industry to all economic components. Guide, urge, and evaluate the implementation, as well as assess the progress and the level of achievement of the Strategy's objectives.

+ Organize the summarization and evaluation of the implementation of the Development Strategy of the coal industry by year and phase. Propose adjustments to objectives to ensure high feasibility.

- Specify the tasks and solutions for implementing the Development Strategy of the coal industry, demonstrating the proactiveness and creativity of each unit and the cooperation between units within and outside the Ministry of Industry and Trade in achieving the objectives set forth in the Development Strategy of the coal industry.

- Ensure consistency with the organization of the implementation of government action programs, Party resolutions, and national and local socio-economic development strategies and plans, as well as those of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in each period.
