Criteria for approval of consultancy support for small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 06/2019/TT-BKHĐT on guidelines for organization and operation of consultant network, consultancy support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) through consultant network.

According to Circular No. 06/2019/TT-BKHĐT of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, the SME supporting body shall consider approving the application for consultancy support based on the following requirements:

- The SME meets requirements prescribed in Article 6 of Decree No. 39/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government.

- The consultant is a member of the consultant network.

- The proposing budget is conformable to the support amount prescribed in Article 13 of Decree No. 39/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government.

- The contents of the minutes of settlement of consulting services are made in accordance with regulations and in conformity with the demand of the SME. Contents of the minutes of settlement of consulting services are specified in Article 5 of Circular No. 06/2019/TT-BKHĐT.

Notably, the decision on approval for consultancy support for SME must specify the support amount, duration, remission of the consulting charge of the consultancy contract.
