The construction of salary scales and payroll tables in Vietnam is the responsibility of the employer and is also a mandatory task stipulated in the 2012 Labor Code. However, some newly established companies and businesses often overlook this task, leading to unnecessary fines.
The statutory pay rate in Vietnam is increased to 1,390,000 VND/month from July 1, 2018. Therefore, the salary and allowances paid to officials and public employees in the Vietnam People's Army Force are also increased accordingly. Below is the new payroll and allowance table applicable to the Vietnam People's Army Force from July 1, 2018 under Circular 88/2018/TT-BQP.
