HCMC, Vietnam: To request residents to continue wearing face masks in public places (Internet image)
Due to the complex development of COVID-19 in Da Nang City, in order to tightly control the disease and prevent its spread in the community, the People's Committee of HCMC, Vietnam, requests the heads of departments, agencies, and the Chairpersons of People's Committees of districts, wards, and communes to seriously implement the following contents:
- Departments and local authorities are requested not to be negligent in COVID-19 prevention and control work, and to strengthen communication to ensure that people comply with all regulations regarding COVID-19 prevention and control. Strictly implement Notification 253/TB-VPCP dated July 25, 2020 of the Government Office on the Prime Minister's conclusions at the Government's Standing Committee meeting on COVID-19 prevention and control; Official Dispatch 3961/CVBCD dated July 25, 2020 of the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control on enhancing COVID-19 prevention and control work.
- The Department of Health, in coordination with the People's Committees of districts, communes, and the City Police, shall direct agencies and units to conduct community screening and inspections, as well as mobilize residents to voluntarily report to local authorities and healthcare facilities about those who have been to Da Nang since July 1, 2020, and are currently present in Ho Chi Minh City, in order to apply health monitoring measures as instructed by the National Steering Committee, aiming to ensure the health of the people and prevent the spread of the disease. To be specific:
+ Cases that have had contact with patients 416, 418, or other patients (if any) shall be isolated and tested according to regulations.
+ Cases with symptoms related to COVID-19 must be quarantined at medical facilities and tested for SARS-CoV-2 to receive timely treatment.
+ Other cases: after completing the health declaration, an epidemiological investigation will be conducted to apply home medical isolation or self-health monitoring, as well as to collect samples for testing as instructed by the Ministry of Health.
All the above-mentioned cases shall complete a health declaration and install and use the Bluezone and Ncovi applications on mobile phones as instructed by the Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Health, to receive support and information alerts about the disease.
- The Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Department of Health, shall direct travel agencies and accommodation establishments in the city to review the list of tourists currently staying and provide information about those who have been to Da Nang since July 1, 2020, to local authorities and healthcare facilities for the implementation of the aforementioned measures.
- The City Police shall continue to direct local police to strictly manage temporary residence, temporary absence, and permanent residence within the city; mobilize the public to promptly inform local authorities when detecting cases of illegal entry into the community for appropriate handling. Strictly handle individuals who facilitate illegal entry into the city (if any). Strictly handle cases of providing incorrect or false information about COVID-19, causing confusion in public opinion.
- The Department of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Department of Health, shall strengthen communication and remind people to protect their health, continue to wear face masks in public places, and follow disease prevention and control measures.
- The Department of Education and Training, in coordination with the Department of Health, shall develop a plan to ensure the safety of disease prevention and control during the organization of 2020's high school graduation examination in the city.
- Departments, agencies, and units are requested to review and disseminate information to officials, public employees, and workers who have been to Da Nang since July 1, 2020, to contact and report to local authorities and healthcare facilities for health monitoring as prescribed by the Ministry of Health.
- The Department of Health shall direct healthcare units to implement appropriate health control and monitoring measures, following the instructions of the Ministry of Health, for those who have been to Da Nang since July 1, 2020, and have returned to the city during this period.
