On September 26, 2017, the Government of Vietnam signed and promulgated Resolution 93/NQ-CP officially approving the plan to simplify administrative procedures and identity documents of citizens within the management scope of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs. To be specific:
In consumer protection law, the concept that consumers can only be individuals, or include both individuals and organizations, leads to various legal consequences. This article provides some explanations regarding the concept of consumers in the aspect of whether organizations should be considered consumers and how the current Draft Law on Consumer Protection should approach this issue.
On November 15, 2010, during the 8th session of the 12th National Assembly, the 2010 Law on Inspection was passed, which came into effect on July 1, 2011, replacing the 2004 Law on Inspection. One of the notable new points of the 2010 Law on Inspection is the enhancement of the legal status of inspection agencies and the definition of the relative independence of inspection agencies in relation to state administrative authorities at the same level. The Law on Citizen Identification of 2014 was passed by the XIII National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam during its 8th session on November 20, 2014, and came into effect on January 1, 2016.
On April 27, 2016, the Department of Information and Communications of Binh Phuoc Province issued Decision No. 12/QD-STTTT to suspend the provision of postal services for receiving and delivering documents and results of administrative procedure resolutions by Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation, citing that this service can only be performed by public postal enterprises.
To enhance the responsibility of officials in the execution of their duties, the Government of Vietnam stipulates that in cases where an official causes wrongful convictions, they must publicly apologize and provide compensation from their salary. Decision No. 582/QD-TTg approves the list of 25,442 especially difficult hamlets and communes in regions III, II, and I in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the 2016-2020 period in Vietnam.
The Ministry of Health of Vietnam has just approved Decision No. 1891/QD-BYT, announcing the abolition of 5 administrative procedures related to the issuance and reissuance of Vaccination Eligibility Certificates as stipulated in Article 17 of Circular 12/2014/TT-BYT.
