Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Circular 130/2017/TT-BTC amending and supplementing some articles of Circular 215/2016/TT-BTC on the collection rates, collection policies, payment, management, and use of fees for business information provision and business registration fees in Vietnam. Notably, there are 2 key points to notice:
1. Business Registration Fees Reduced by 50% Compared to Previous Regulations in Vietnam
The procedures that have been reduced and the new fees for each procedure are specifically defined as follows:

2. Amendment of Fees and Charges for Business Registration in Vietnam
Circular 130 adds small and medium enterprises (SMEs) converted from household businesses to the list of entities exempt from business registration fees and charges. These enterprises will be exempt from business registration fees and the fee for the initial provision of business information.
Additionally, specific regulations on fee exemptions for other entities are provided. To be specific:
- Enterprises adding or changing information due to administrative boundary changes shall be exempted from business registration fees and fees for publicizing business registration content;
- Registration for business dissolution, temporary suspension of business; termination of operation of branches, representative offices, and business locations shall be exempted from business registration fees;
- Enterprises performing online business registration shall be exempted from business registration fees;
- State agencies requesting to provide information for state management purposes shall be exempted from the business information provision fee.
