This content is stipulated in Decree 59/2016/ND-CP on Professional Military Identification, Defense Workers and Public Employees.
Decree 59/2016/ND-CP stipulates that professional servicemen, workers, and defense public employees shall have their Identification Cards revoked in the following cases:
- Ceasing to serve in the regular forces of the People's Army;- Being reissued new Identification Cards as specified in points a, b, c, clause 2, Article 8 of Decree 59/2016/ND-CP; upon receipt of the new Identification Card, the old one shall be revoked;- Stripped of military titles or dismissed from work.
According to Decree 59/2016/ND-CP, professional servicemen, workers, and defense public employees shall have their Identification Cards held during periods of temporary detention, imprisonment, or serving a prison sentence.
- During the time professional servicemen, workers, and defense public employees have their Identification Cards held, the detaining agency shall allow them to use their Identification Cards for transactions.- Professional servicemen, workers, and defense public employees shall have their Identification Cards returned when the period of temporary detention, imprisonment, or serving a prison sentence ends, provided they continue to serve in the regular forces of the People's Army.
