Vietnam’s Circular 20: Database of livestock production premises, animal product processing facilities and animal product markets

According to Article 5 of Circular No. 20/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, the database of livestock production premises, animal product processing facilities and animal product markets is specified as follows:

Firstly, the data on livestock production premises, consisting of:

- Data on organizations and individuals involved in animal husbandry, including name, ID number of livestock production premises, email (if any), address; species, quantity of livestock, breeds, production methods and output;

- Data on conditions for animal husbandry, including livestock production scale and livestock density; declaration of animal husbandry activities; separation distance; diseases (epidemics) under surveillance and methods to ensure biosafety;

- Data on certificates of livestock production premises, including number, date of issuance and issuer of certificate of eligibility for animal husbandry; number, date of issuance and issuer of certificate of good husbandry practice; number, date of issuance and issuer of certificate of biosafe farm;

- Data on designated eligibility assessment bodies, including name, phone number, email (if any) and address; date of designation, end of designation and designating body.

Secondly, data on animal product processing facilities, including name, ID number, phone number, email (if any) and address of facility; food safety certificate and date of issuance and issuer thereof; capacity, commodity, product type, origin of ingredients; quantity of ingredients procured (domestically/internationally), output, export value, consumption markets (domestic/foreign).

Thirdly, data on animal product markets, consisting of:

- Data on price, including prices for studs, products from livestock breeds; complete feeds for fattening pigs and poultry; a number of main ingredients of animal feeds; and main animal products;

- Data on export and import markets for animal products, including export countries, import countries; quantity and types of products; specifications, export value and import value;

- Data on international conventions, including the Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (the SPS Agreement) and commercial commitments (tariff and non-tariff), Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade (the TBT Agreement), and documents providing for sanitary and phytosanitary measures and technical barriers to trade of import countries.
