Vietnam: Minimum Knowledge of graduates of Artificial Wood Production Technology (level 4 of VQF)

In the Regulation on Minimum Knowledge Volume, Competency Requirements that Learners Must Achieve After Graduating from Intermediate and College Levels in the Artificial wood Production Technology Sector issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that learners must achieve after graduating in the artificial wood production technology sector at the intermediate level in Vietnam is as follows:

- Recognize and select appropriate materials according to the production requirements of chips, fibers, laminated strips, and thin woods;

- Describe the structure of wood, its characteristics, essential properties, and the methods for selecting wood materials in artificial wood production;

- Describe and analyze the characteristics and factors affecting materials used for producing chips, fibers, laminated strips, and thin woods;

- Identify the characteristics, uses, and requirements of adhesives and additives used in the production of chipwood, fiberwood, laminated wood, and plywood;

- Apply the method of calculating material quantities according to order specifications;

- Describe the production process of various types of artificial woods: chipwood, fiberwood, laminated wood, and plywood;

- Describe the features and uses of measuring and inspection tools used in the production and quality control of artificial wood products;

- Explain the structure, operating principles, features, uses, and operational processes of machinery and equipment used in the production and quality checking of artificial wood products and the method for preserving finished artificial woods;

- Explain the routine maintenance processes of tools, machinery, and equipment used in the production and quality checking of artificial wood products;

- Evaluate the quality of various types of artificial woods: chipwood, fiberwood, laminated wood, and plywood according to TCVN;

- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense, security, and physical education as prescribed.
