Vietnam: International cooperation in measurement

The Law on Measurement 2011 of Vietnam was promulgated on November 11, 2011 and officially effective from July 01, 2012, of which one of the fundamental contents is the regulation on international cooperation in measurement.

Specifically, according to Article 6 of the Law on Measurement 2011 of Vietnam, international cooperation in measurement shall be promoted on the basis of independence, sovereignty and equality and mutual benefits.

International cooperation in measurement shall be promoted by:

One, signing International Agreements on measurement, recognition of measurement, testing, inspection and calibration results between Vietnamese bodies and foreign country's bodies under international laws, and joining international measurement coalitions.

Two, executing international programs and projects;

Three, exchanging measuring experts and officers with foreign countries and international organizations;

Four, holding seminars, conferences; conducting scientific researches, technology application and transfer;

Five, cooperating in settling disputes.
