Recently, the Government of Vietnam has issued the Decree No. 83/2017/NĐ-CP on regulation on rescue operations by fire departments.
According to the Decree No. 83/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, the order and responsibilities for organizing the rescue drills of the fire departments are specified as follows:
- The rescue plan formulated by the Chairperson of People’s Committees of communes, heads of establishments (initial rescue plans) shall be practiced at least once every two years and irregular rescue drills shall be conducted on request;
- The rescue plan formulated by the Fire and Rescue Police Agency (rescue plans of the Fire and Rescue Police Agency) shall be practiced at least once per year and irregular rescue drills shall be conducted on request;
- Heads of agencies, organizations, establishments, Chairpersons of the People’s Committees of communes shall organize the rescue drills under their management;
- The Head of the Fire and Rescue Police Agency shall organize the rescue drills under his/her management.
