Vietnam: How is the inspection of the recruitment process for regular teachers conducted?

According to Circular 05, the recruitment of regular education system teachers by training institutions will be inspected by competent agencies and individuals as follows:

- The Ministry of Education and Training organizes inspection and examination of the recruitment work of schools and agencies and organizations participating in the recruitment work.

- Ministries and central authorities; the People's Committees of provinces and central-affiliated cities organize inspection of recruitment work for schools under their jurisdiction.

- The Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Education and Training decides on inspection and establishes inspection teams for recruitment work; in necessary cases, the Minister of the Ministry of Education and Training decides on inspection and establishes inspection teams for recruitment work.

- The Chief Inspector of the Department of Education and Training decides on inspection and establishes inspection teams for recruitment work; in necessary cases, the Director of the Department of Education and Training decides on inspection and establishes inspection teams for recruitment work for education institutions under the provincial People's Committee.

- Principals of schools organize inspection and examination of recruitment work within the institution.

- The sequence and procedures for organizing inspections and examinations shall comply with the law on inspection and examination and the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.

- Individuals with relatives taking exams or applying for admission to schools shall not participate in the inspection and examination of recruitment work in that year.

Conditions for participation in recruitment can be found in Circular 05/2017/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training, effective from March 10, 2017.
