Vietnam: Data consisted in the database of livestock breeds

The database of livestock breeds is specified in Clause 1 Article 4 of Circular No. 20/2019/TT-BNNPTNT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, specifically consisting of:

- Data on producers of studs, including name, phone number, email (if any); address of production facility; production scale; origin, name and grade of each breed, number of each grade, and applicable economic-technical standards;

- Data on producers of livestock sperms, embryos and larvae, and incubator facilities, including name, phone number, email (if any); address of production facility; breed of sperms, embryos, larvae or eggs; production scale and quantity;

- Data on individual providers of artificial insemination and embryo transfer in livestock breeding, including name, phone number, email (if any), address; number of sperm doses inseminated per year or number of embryos transferred per year;

- Data on owners of boars, male buffalos and bulls used for direct cross-breeding for commercial purpose, including name, phone number, email (if any), address; scale, breed and number of male studs, annual cross-breeding result (if any);

- Data on traders of studs, sperms, embryos, eggs and larvae, including name, phone number, email (if any), address; breed and annual quantity; studs, sperms, embryos, eggs and larvae having undergone quarantine and quality inspection;

- Data on livestock breed and livestock line testing facilities, including name, phone number, email (if any) and address of facility; scale of production of livestock for testing and testing capacity (maximum number of livestock lines, livestock breeds and individuals that can be tested); livestock breed or livestock line accreditation tasks;

- List of livestock breeds in need of conservation;

- List of livestock breeds prohibited from export.

Moreover, the database of livestock gene sources, animal feeds and livestock waste treatment products is also specified in this Circular as follows:

Data on livestock gene sources consists of:

- Data on collectors of livestock gene sources, including name, phone number, email (if any), and address; name, quantity, collecting site, biological criteria and uses of each gene source;

- Data on organizations and individuals involved in conservation of livestock gene sources, including name, phone number, email (if any), address; name, quantity, conservation site and conservation method of each gene source;

- Data on organizations and individuals involved in use and development of livestock gene sources, including name, phone number, email (if any), address; name, quantity, and using/developing site of each gene source.

Data on animal feeds consists of:

- Data on commercial animal feeds producing facilities granted certificate of eligibility for animal feed production by Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, including name, phone number, email (if any), address and design capacity of facility; number, date of issuance and issuer of certificate of eligibility for animal feed production;

- Data on commercial animal feeds producing facilities granted certificate of eligibility for animal feed production by Department of Livestock Production, including name, phone number, email (if any), address and design capacity of facility; number and date of issuance of certificate of eligibility for animal feed production;

- Data on animal feed importers, including name, phone number, email (if any) and address;

- Data on animal feed trading facilities, including name, phone number, email (if any) and address of facility;

- Data on animal feed testing facilities, including name, phone number, email (if any), address and scale of facility;

- Data on commercial animal feed output, including product name, quantity and user;

- Data on imported animal feeds, including product name, imported weight, import turnover and product origin;

- List of chemicals and biological or microbial products prohibited from use in animal feeds;

- List of ingredients permitted for animal feeding;

- Data on designated feed analysis laboratories, including name, phone number, email (if any) and address of laboratory; designated analysis, date of designation, end of designation and designating body;

- Data on designated eligibility assessment bodies for animal feeds, including name, phone number, email (if any) and address; scope of service, date of designation, end of designation and designating body.

Data on livestock waste treatment products consists of:

- Data on facilities manufacturing livestock waste treatment products, including name, phone number, email (if any), address and design capacity of facility;

- Data on facilities testing livestock waste treatment products, including name, phone number, email (if any) and address of facility;

- Data on names and quantity of livestock waste treatment products, and applicable standards.
