Vietnam: C value of parameters in exhaust gas from sintering and production of cast iron

On December 29, 2017, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam promulgated Circular 78/2017/TT-BTNMT to specifically regulate the value C of the parameters in emissions from the sintering and iron production process.

Circular 78 regulates the C value of parameters in exhaust gases from the sintering and iron production stages of iron and steel production complexes through the following table:

() For the sintering process, the CO parameter value specified in Table 1 does not apply. CO control for the sintering process is through the calculation of stack height to meet ambient air quality requirements. () Total Volatile Organic Compounds VOC are controlled only for the sintering process exhaust gas. (**) Total Dioxin/Furan is controlled only for the sintering process exhaust gas. Referenced oxygen content in the exhaust gas: - For the exhaust gas from the iron production process: 7%; - For the exhaust gas from the sintering process: 15%.
