Recently, the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 27/2019/TT-BGDĐT on basic contents of higher education diplomas and appendices.
Specifically, according to Circular No. 27/2019/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, basic contents of diploma appendices (including bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, doctor’s degree, and degrees of equivalent level) include:
- Information on the person to whom the diploma is issued: last name, middle name, first name, and date of birth.
- Information on the diploma: name of higher education institution that issues the diploma, training discipline, date of enrolment, training language, training duration, training level according to the Vietnamese Qualifications Framework, and training mode.
- Information on training contents and results (if any): name of course or subject, number of credit of each course or subject, grade of the course or subject, total accumulated credits, average score, title and result of theses and dissertations, GPA. If credits are accumulated from different higher education institutions, specify name of subject, credits thereof, and name of higher education institutions.
- Information connected to the diploma: code of student, learner, researcher; diploma number.
Note: Circular No. 27/2019/TT-BGDĐT replaces Circular No. 19/2011/TT-BGDĐT dated May 24, 2011 of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam promulgating sample university diploma; Circular No. 23/2009/TT-BGDĐT dated August 12, 2009 of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam promulgating the master’s degree sample; Circular No. 24/2009/TT-BGDĐT dated August 12, 2009 of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam promulgating the doctor’s degree sample.
