Vietnam: Application for certification of eligibility to use the true quantity marking on pre-packed goods labels

On July 15, 2014, the Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam issued Circular No. 21/2014/TT-BKHCN on measurement of pre-packed goods.

According to Circular No. 21/2014/TT-BKHCN of the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam, applicants that satisfy corresponding requirements applied to true quantity marking users shall compile an application and submit it to the certifying body directly or by post. The application consists of:

- An application for certification of eligibility to use the true quantity marking on pre-packed goods labels.

- Copies (certified by the applicant) of the Decision on Establishment or Certificate of Business registration issued by a competent authority.

- A document compiled by the head of the facility that contains regulations on quantity control measures to ensure fulfillment of technical measurement requirements of quantity of pre-packed goods.

- Documents about inspection and calibration results, documents about technical assessment of quantity of pre-packed goods, and documents about implementation of other quantity control measures.
