Vietnam: 02 forms of training at the intermediate and college level in the group of teacher training majors

According to Article 2 of Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, 02 forms of training at the intermediate and college level in the group of teacher training majors include: annual training and credit system training. To be specific:

1. Annual training is training according to the âcdemic year unit. An academic year is usually organized into two semesters. Each training program is conducted over a certain number of months or academic years. Students, pupils (collectively referred to as learners) must complete the amount of knowledge and skills specified in that number of months or academic years.

2. Training under the credit system is training organized by semester units, learners actively choose according to the regulations of the teacher training institution to learn and accumulate each subject and module to ensure enough, correct number of credits until completing the entire training program. Learners who accumulate enough credits specified in the training program will be considered for a diploma.

3. The principal or the person assigned to be in charge of the teacher training institution (collectively referred to as the head of the teacher training institution) shall decide on the organization of the implementation of the annual training program or the training under the credit system.

Moreover, Circular No. 24/2019/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam also stipulates training program, teaching staff, training time, training plan, training location, training organization, modules test and examination, graduation exam, graduation review and recognition, degree award graduate and organization. Subjects of application are pedagogical intermediate schools, pedagogical colleges schools and educational institutions that are allowed to train intermediate and college degrees in teacher training majors (collectively referred to as teacher training institutions) and related organizations and individuals.
