Circular 13/2018/TT-BTNMT was issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, stipulating the technical specifications for creating sea surface temperature maps and surface chlorophyll concentration maps at scales of 1:500,000 and 1:1,000,000 using low-resolution optical remote sensing data. This is the first Circular that details regulations on this matter.
The inspection and acceptance of the map must go through the following stages:
- Inspection and acceptance at the construction unit level;- Inspection and acceptance at the investor level;- Appraisal and acceptance of quality and product quantity dossiers.
Additionally, the following contents must be ensured during the inspection process:
- Accuracy and completeness of mathematical base elements, geographical background elements, and specialized elements according to the technical design - estimate and the accuracy, adequacy, and geographical correlation of the specialized elements with geographical elements;- The accuracy, adequacy, and appropriateness of the legend;- The accuracy and adequacy of the classification and categorization of objects which are content elements of the map in the map files;- The correctness and completeness in representing the content elements of the map with the designed symbol system;- The rationality in presenting the layout of the thematic map.
