The Authority of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Managing Vietnamese Representative Offices Abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is an agency of the Government of Vietnam that performs the function of state management in foreign affairs. In managing Vietnamese representative agencies abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has the following duties and powers:

- Bear responsibility before the Government of Vietnam for the implementation of state management of Vietnamese representative offices abroad; direct and inspect the implementation of the state's foreign policy as well as the functions and duties of Vietnamese representative offices abroad and their members according to the provisions of the law;- Organize the implementation of legal provisions regarding the organization and staffing of Vietnamese representative offices abroad;- Appoint and dismiss positions, assign and recall members of Vietnamese representative offices abroad according to the provisions of the law;- Guide, organize the management, use of assets, material and technical facilities, and funding of Vietnamese representative offices abroad according to the provisions of the law.
