Technical Editing of Administrative Maps at All Levels

Accordingly, Circular 56 stipulates that technical editing is built based on the study of content and technical requirements of the approved Feasibility Study Report or Technical Design - Cost Estimate or Project. It includes:

Collecting and evaluating documents

- Collect documents as stipulated in the approved Feasibility Study Report or Technical Design - Cost Estimate or Project.- Evaluate and determine the suitable utilization plan according to the regulations of the Feasibility Study Report or Technical Design - Cost Estimate or Project.

Developing a detailed editing plan

The development of the detailed editing plan is stipulated by Circular 56 as follows:

- Plan for handling and utilizing existing documents;- Identify documents or information that are missing and need to be collected and supplemented through field surveys;- Specifically: quantify the indicators representing the content on the administrative map suitable to the characteristics of each geographic area of the established map.

Designing a symbol library and classifying content elements

The design contents include:

- Technical regulation requirements;- Content elements, data storage directories ensuring completeness, logic, convenience in editing operations and data search, and suitability to the map editing environment;- Content elements used to build the digital author format of the state administrative map are applied according to the technical standards issued by the competent state authority.
